Update for 3.0.0650

20.08.2000
Download partial EASE patch to avoid error messages regarding the nsp*.dll libraries. This special problem only occurs on computers with quite old hardware and EASE 3.0.0650. It is a result of the updated Intel Signal Processing Libraries (nsp*.dll) shipping with 650. Only install the file when EASE comes up with an "... nsp*.dll ..." error message.
What to do exactly:

1. Delete the file nspp5.dll in your system directory (it is no more in use - don't be afraid).
This will supress the nsp-error message.
2. Replace your version of the EASE file CheckComponents.exe by one of the following newer versions.
This will update CheckComponents to the new status otherwise you will see an error message generated by CheckComponents about the missing nspp5.dll library whenever you start EASE.

For users who installed EASE 613 or 620 and patched up to vs.650

For all other users having EASE vs.650

Changes from 3.0.0690 to 3.0.0700

The new update includes internal changes in handling licences. It improves the licence stability on NT and Win2000. Furthermore several small bugs have been removed. This also applies to opening bitmaps from the speaker base view menu, which was not available under some circumstances.

Changes from 3.0.0680 to 3.0.0690

This subversion holds all new features and fixes of 68, but internal inconsistencies in the EARS module have been solved. Additionally releasing symmetry in the Project Data module does no more require to reassign coat faces.

Changes from 3.0.0670 to 3.0.0680

This version is a major update compared with the previous patches:
  • The licence system has been improved, it works now more stable and additionally allows to re-import licences exported from other computers. The re-import merges the previous licence with the new one and does no more overwrite it.
  • EASE Probe can read EASE2 impact files.
  • EASE will now also remember your active Audience Areas as it did with loudspeakers
  • Compute Elliptic Lobe has been extended to completely assymmetric balloon shapes
  • Compute Elliptic Lobe, Efficiency and Directivity can now be applied to all bands simultaneously.
  • several bugs in EARS and other modules have been fixed
  • mappings with shadow calculations have been corrected

Changes from 3.0.0660 to 3.0.0670

The main goal of this version is to fix some bugs caused by internal rearrangements.
  • prototype problems have been solved
  • bugs in the Ray Tracing module have been fixed

Changes from 3.0.0650 to 3.0.0660

The main goal of this version is to fix known bugs.
  • Some small bugs in the Ray Tracing module have been repaired.
  • After a long series of tests this version ensures Win2K compatibility regarding the OpenGL graphics engine. It should remove black frames appearing on some computers.
  • This patch also includes the partial update from 08-20-2000, that solved the Intel Library problem.

Changes from 3.0.0646 to 3.0.0650

There have been only a few small changes. Most important is the updated help which now also includes a german version.

Changes from 3.0.0645 to 3.0.0646

General:
  • Video Adapter problems are solved: EASE can now be run either in software mode, where no OpenGL drivers from the card manufacturers are necessary, or with hardware acceleration switched on. If hardware acceleration is on, the OpenGL ICD drivers of the graphics board manufacturers will be used, this may lead to the problems shown in VideoAda.rtf. Anyway the hardware accelerated drivers might be faster but the software mode is in most cases more stable.
To turn on hardware acceleration use the executable EaseHwSw.exe delivered with the new version.
Please note: this switch only applies to EASE, it does not affect anything else.
  • minor improvements

Changes from 3.0.0644 to 3.0.0645

General:
  • authorized Speaker Models are now allowed to be edited, although this action would cause the loss of the authorization
  • stability improvements

Changes from 3.0.0642 to 3.0.0644

General:
  • stability improvements for NT installations
  • update of EARS

Changes from 3.0.0613 to 3.0.0642

General:
  • stability improvements regarding licence- and ini-files
  • Remove Licence introduced as an advanced tool
Registration procedure:
  • Import/Export of already existing licences now possible
Options in main window shows now under Video Adapters:
  • your configuration
  • already pretested configurations - this information is contained in EasePath\VideoAda.rtf delivered with the new version 642 - you may also download it in the Service region
Mapping:
  • 1/8 of the wavelength is now recommended as resolution, instead of 1/2
  • Isoline Step now adjustable except for Rasti (0.01)
Main window enhancements like:
  • automatic column size and labeling
  • maximum size as a default at first start of EASE

Auralize file now available

Handling of not valid bands in EASE Speakerbase:
  • won't be displayed for Polars2D, dBLines, Coverages, Balloon

  • 0 dB dashed circle for Polars 3D
Project Data:
  • Orientation of loudspeakers inserted as a circular array now turned by 180° to look outward
